It's not called the 'Nifty Fifty' for no reason - brilliant!
1 of 1 found this helpful After hearing about the 'nifty fifty' lens that is a must have in any photographers lens arsenal, I decided to buy this lens and see what the hype was all about - and I wasn't disappointed.
This prime lens makes for some fantastic shots. I have a Canon 600D and even on the crop sensor (at an effective focal length of 80mm) it has been great for street photography and excellent for portraiture. At f/1.8 you can really get that beautiful depth of field most DSLR users crave. Whilst the lens feels very light, its weight suits the lighter body of my crop sensor camera. Just avoid dropping it too many times - easy!
I highly recommend this lens to any amateur enthusiast who wants a cheap addition to their kit that provides plenty of value.
