1. 99% of items are despatched to you with a tracking number and are sent via Royal Mail Tracked or Parcelforce so you know where your order is at all times. 2. We despatch all orders within two business days (Monday-Friday). We despatch on a first come first serve basis. If you require a guaranteed quicker despatch and delivery time, please choose the express delivery option at time of checkout and payment and please contact us so we can prioritise your purchase. 3. Everything we sell we guarantee. We only sell new items from reputable brands and suppliers. If you have any problems please contact us as we will try and resolve any issue with you. Once your order has left our warehouse an email will be sent to you from us automatically and this email will contain your delivery tracking number, (if appropriate), and a weblink so you can track the status of delivery online.

The Powell family has been trading in Maldon since 1974 and we are now operating from our large store and garden centre at 85 - 87 High Street in Maldon, a picturesque, riverside town in an attractive corner of rural Essex. A family run business you can trust, The Emporium is Maldon's largest independent High Street retailer selling a wide range of quality items at competitive prices, including furniture, homeware, gifts, pet and garden products. Our customers call us an Aladdin's Cave because of the huge stock of different products which change daily, weekly, monthly and seasonally! Whilst the style of our store is deliberately old-fashioned in line with the appearance of Maldon's traditional High Street, the Powell family maintains a range of the latest products available. Graham and Mary Powell visit all major UK trade shows each year to keep abreast of new product developments and to ensure that we are able to present our customers with a constantly evolving range of goods.

We accept all major payment methods via paypal or UK credit/debit cards over the phone.

We try to hold all stocks in our warehouse so you can rely on rapid shipping of your purchases. We aim to despatch orders within two business days of payment being received but more often than not goods are despatched within one working day!

"We want you to be 100% happy with your purchase and offer a 14 day "no quibble" guarantee" If you change your mind, or the purchase is not suitable, you may notify us to cancel the contract within 14 days after the day of receipt of item(s) and you have a duty to take reasonable care of the item(s) until we receive the item(s) back.
