Universal heater tap
The Gates Universal heater tap is great for the old car owner that can't find an original OE unit. It can be easily fitted into a short straight section of 5/8 inch hose. In my case there was no heater tap originally fitted there was a divert flap in the heater box to redirect the air flow.
The car heater had a constant hot water flow and there was hot air bleeding into the cab even with the heater in the off position. Adding the universal heater tap has solved this problem. It can be cable or manually operated. I choose to manually operate the tap on in the winter off in the summer.
