SHIRLEY TEMPLE DARLING PACK--2 FEATURES + SHORT
5 of 5 found this helpful This DVD is fantastic! It is from Universal Home Video, and features Shirley Temple in her 2 rare Paramount features, plus an extremely rare one-reel Universal short. "LITTLE MISS MARKER" and "NOW AND FOREVER", both made in 1934, are fine showcases with a little more script than Shirley, which was more the Fox style. "LITTLE MISS MARKER" is great Damon Runyon, to boot. The material is from Universal's 35mm masters. The addition is a hilarious 1932 Universal short "THE RUNT PAGE". This was from even better preprint; look as though from an original negative or nitrate print in pristine condition. It's a takeoff of "THE FRONT PAGE" with kids, and all the voices are dubbed by adults, and well synch'd for its time! A great DVD, highly recommended.
