I really enjoy listening through a new album. I think the mp3 stores are taking people away from buying full albums. We do not buy an album because we know a couple of songs on the album. We buy an album to discover new songs we have never heard before. The great joy of buying an album is the adventure of finding new songs. In fact, my favourite all-time-songs are the songs I discovered on the albums I have brought over the years. If I just kept buying single songs I never would have found these great gems. Music is not a consumerist activity. It is not about buying one single song you have heard on the radio.
