Works on my (US) Makita tool charger (so far)
I purchased this step down transformer to power my US charger for my 20 volt 5ma batteries used in my Makita hand tools. So far it has worked okay. The charger power requirement is just 65% of the rated power output of this transformer so I am hardly pushing the envelope on the transformer's specifications. At the current draw of my application the transformer is hardly even warm.
As you would expect it is of Chinese manufacture so the quality and any consistency of any quality, from this unknown source is always questionable.

The USB charging is the thing I like best
The design of these is quirky, if not practical. I was given one for as a Christmas gift and I liked it so much I purchased another. I use them to consolidate my many battery chargers for the (many) various items that require charging. At least I now have the battery charges all in one of two places! The best thing though is the USB chargers for my many Apple devices. I just leave the leads in the cubes USB ports and now have four leads (of two types) to easily find and charge our iPhones, iPads, ITouch etc. It is also convenient for guests who need to charge their device without having to get the charger, use mine, or worse, forget to take their charger when they leave. Now I can't wait for wireless charging!

It was genuine at a reasonable price.

Usually, I buy generic cables for my Apple gear however as these were intended as gifts, I purchased the genuine ones this time. Well, they appear to be genuine as they come in what appears to be the genuine Apple box with logo. The price (for a genuine Apple cable) was good at around $9 each so I purchased three.
