Business InformationHistory/background
We've accumulated a lot of objects over the years, and have decided to steadily clear those we don't use through eBay. We are fanatical almost to the point of obsessiveness about our items being in pristine condition before we list them for sale. We'd rather not list something than risk negative feedback for selling a poor quality item.
Payment policy
The vast majority of our transactions (buying and selling) take place via direct deposit. It's quick and effective. We'll send you an email notification when your payment has been received.
Postage information
We're extremely keen on getting our items to you undamaged and promptly. We'd rather quote a little bit more for postage to allow us to package an item properly than have it arrive in poor condition courtesy of Australia Post just to save a dollar or two. We do not artificially inflate our postage charges, a more and more common practice on eBay. If you think our postage charges for a given item are too high, blame Australia Post, not us. We normally post out items the same day we receive payment, or at worst the next day. We'll send you an email notification when we've posted your package.
Feedback
We strongly believe that feedback for buyers should be left immediately after we have received payment from buyers (i.e. before buyers leave feedback for us). After all, YOU are trusting US by sending your hard-earned money to a complete stranger. Sadly, this feedback policy seems to be dying on eBay, to the detriment of the integrity of the feedback system. We won't nag you for feedback - if you are happy at the end of the transaction we appreciate you leaving feedback saying so, but please, if you're unhappy with any aspect of the transaction, communicate with us first to give us a chance to resolve any issues before leaving neutral or negative feedback.
Auction Sniping
Auction sniping is a buying technique some buyers use to increase their auction win percentage - there are lots of resources explaining what it is both here on eBay and on the wider Internet. Some sellers don't like auction snipers since they have a mistaken belief that snipers lower the amount the sellers get for items. We disagree with this view. We believe that sellers who don't like auction snipers are getting caught by their own error of listing items with lower starting bids than they are prepared to accept. (e.g. listing items with a starting price of 99 cents with no belief that the item will in fact be sold for 99 cents). We start our auctions at prices we are happy to accept if they turn out to be the winning prices. If a buyer, sniper or otherwise, gets a bargain as a result of this policy, good luck to you - we're happy for you. Additionally, we have found that auction snipers are usually savvy eBayers who are easy to deal with. We welcome auction sniping.
