A broad look at 19th century British / Australian views of Aboriginal people and language
Definitely worth a purchase if you are interested in Australian languages and indigenous culture. Interesting collection of digital scans of mainly 19th century works from academic libraries that would take a long while to collate yourself.
View content from the perspective of British and early white Australians who are looking to spread Christianity to aboriginal peoples but who have an in depth knowledge of comparative linguistics.
I was interested in it as a speaker of many foreign languages, I want to learn an Australian one finally.
