My Family Planner 2019 16-Month Square Wall Calendar by Browntrout

Great calendar with enough SPACE
I've been using these calendars for several years, and find them excellent. They have a small picture at the top, and so the look of a calendar, unlike most planners that are all business. The column layout is very useful, for separating out different sorts of entries. So are the stickers, to highlight events. Improvements could be the addition of stickers for 'tradesperson coming' and 'bills due'. The 2019 one is not as appealing as it could be due to using the same salmon pink background for each month, others have been funkier.

good fun book to explain some wonders of nature
Well - written and illustrated book, though I found some of the illustrations a bit creepy or overwhelming, mostly they enhanced the text. A fun way of approaching the subjects - a kind of "myth-busters" format. I'm going to give it to my niece and nephew (twins) for their 10th birthday soon. The best thing is that the science is right - some science books for kids say some pretty dubious things, but Prof Dawkins is a stickler for proper facts and this book is full of them.
