Why buy from Antique Gold and Jewels?
Customer satisfaction is paramount to my business, this is why many people shop here time and time again. I present detailed & accurate descriptions which include research on makers and the eras in which the items were produced. Numerous clear pictures are offered which can be super-sized - this is much the same as you viewing there item with a 5x jeweller's loupe. My pictures do not hide flaws, in fact they do the opposite. They magnify details not visible to the naked eye.
My feedback shows you may buy with absolute confidence. I charge only the cost of postage and packaging to ensure safe arrival at your door. Insurance is charged for at Australia Post's rates. Dispatch is the same day payment is received, with the exception of public holidays and weekends due to registered post requiring me to visit a post office.
I communicate every step of the way so you know when your payment is received and when to expect delivery.
Questions are always answered in a timely manner.
Business InformationHistory/background
I have been selling on eBay since mid 2005 but been an avid collector for much longer.
I strive for Customer Service Excellence and my feedback is 2nd to none among sellers of antique & vintage jewellery. I am honoured to have many fantastic repeat customers who have the same passion for Antique and Vintage jewellery as I.
I write each description drawing on my knowledge and associated research to present each item accurately. Rest assured the content of my listings is my own. I know about what I am selling - there's no guessing here.

Postage information
I use Registered Post for peace of mind however am happy to offer Express Post in some instances with prior arrangement.
Registered Post parcels are fully insured in the event of loss or damage (although I pack very carefully).
All purchases are sent in a gift box or bag appropriate to the item, unless already boxed..
Return policy
I have been known to make an exception but please be aware my general Returns Policy is as follows: Items are sold AS-IS. Returns are available if there has been a gross misrepresentation i.e. the item isn't as pictured/described. Any significant flaws will be noted/pictured. Due to age, wear & tear is to be expected of Vintage & Antique jewellery. Unless otherwise stated, they are used pieces of old jewellery so no warranty is available. Refunds are NOT available for failing to read the description, check sizing or remorse purchases. I encourage questions prior to bidding.
If a return or store credit is made possible, please be aware all postage & insurance charges are at your expense. In the rare event the error is mine, I will refund all postage and insurance costs.
Contact information

Gold Filled & Gold Plating is NOT the same.
The process is very different. Modern gold plated items have a thin spray of gold, today referred to as electroplating, which can wear easily due to a number of reasons including oils in the skin, perfumes & soaps. Antique gold plating is usually thicker & of superior quality. Generally speaking, the layer of gold for gold filled pieces is up to 100 times thicker, if not more, compared to gold plating.
Some Gold Filled jewellery is not marked, why?
Gold Filled jewellery was not usually marked as such until legislation (The Stamping Act 1906) requiring jewellery of Gold Filled construction to be stamped/hallmarked or identified. Even after this time, a piece could be presented in a box or with a tag stating it was Gold Filled.
