I began Lainie's Collectables almost two years ago (2005) intially selling at Markets. I retired from Teaching in June 2007 to concentrate on building my business. My Business has grown out of my passion for collecting Old Stuff and my love of Baby Dolls. I have expanded from my spare room into my studio which has now been doubled in size. I am moving more into Reborn Dolls. I buy basic dolls and Enhance them & dress them in Vintage Outfits where possible. I began buying on Ebay mainly to research what I appreciated as a customer so I could then pass this onto my customers. I plan to increase sales so that it is an income stream to support travel during my retirement. I don't want to become so big that it becomes work and is no longer fun.
Payment policy
I accept Payment Via Direct Debit, Money Order, Personal Cheque and Paypal for purchases over $10.00. I only accept Paypal for overseas Customers. Please take into account that when you pay by Cheque your item will not be posted until cheque clears.
Postage information
I try to keep postage to only what Australia Post Charges by recycling boxes and packaging. Sometimes because I may need to purchase exta packaging, to ensure items a packaged safely, I may need to charge a small packaging fee. I usually state postage for items up to 500grams. For heavier items I quote the Min. and Max. within Australia. Overseas customers are asked to email for a quote before bidding. I package well as my feedback indicates but if you require extra cover I encourage customers to Register and/or Insure items. I usually post everyday.
Return policy
I am more than happy to give a refund of the winning bid if you find you are not happy with an item and if it is returned in the original condition that it was when it left my hands. It must be returned within 4 days of receiving it and all postage is payable by the customer. I am sorry but there will be no refund of any postage, please take this into consideration before bidding.

I PREFER to be contacted through MY MESSAGES on Ebay not via my Email Address. I find this is safer and the messages nearly always are received. I answer all emails that arrive through MY MESSAGES
Non Paying Customers
Most Ebayers are honest & trustworthy and life can get busy so I do understand when it is an oversight when an item remains unpaid. And although is has not been a huge problem when it happens it does cause increased work in trying to collect the money and increased cost to relist. I will always pursue payment using the UNPAID ITEM Report which results in an unpaid item strike marked on the customers history. If I have to relist because an item remains unpaid I state this in the relisting along with the non-payers USER NAME to help prevent other Ebayers from getting caught. Please remember BEFORE BIDDING that if you bid you enter into a LEGAL CONTRACT

Communication is the key to prevent a problem turning into a dispute. Please email me if you feel you need clarification on any point or you have a problem that you want to share with me. I am very understanding and my goal is to have happy repeat customers. Remember no question, query or comment to gain understanding is ever silly!
